HTWO Energy Savannah is going to serve Hyundai’s new Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America—HMGMA—thereby utilizing hydrogen heavy-duty fuel cell trucks when it comes to clean logistics.

Phase 1 will be creating a scalable Class-8 hydrogen refueling solution, which will be in partnership with HTWO logistics – fleet operations, Capital Development Partners – overall development, and HydroFleet – hydrogen refueling.

When it comes to phase 2, there are plans to include commercial vehicle electric charging capacity.

HTWO Energy Savannah marks a prominent step forward when it comes to decarbonization of emission-intensive operations and logistics corridors.

Hyundai went ahead and announced its plans to come up with a scalable hydrogen production and dispensing facility as far as class-8 heavy duty zero emission trucks are concerned at the 2025 Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo.

This station is going to be located around 10 miles from the port of Savannah in Georgia. It will be within one of the nation’s busiest freight hubs.

It is well to be noted that HTWO Energy Savannah development happens to be a partnership between HydroFleet, HTWO Logistics, and Capital Development Partners and is all set to begin its operations in the late fall of 2025.

According to the SVP, commercial vehicles and hydrogen fuel At Hyundai Motors North America, Jim Park, there is no doubt when we say that HTWO Energy Savannah happens to be a breakthrough hydrogen production as well as refueling station when it comes to the heavy-duty trucking industry. It allows zero-emissions trucks to quickly and seamlessly refuel at a single convenient location within the Savannah region.

The HTWO energy Savannah hydrogen station is sure to embrace a vision for HMGMA clean logistics, thereby enabling the innovative new electric vehicle plant to transport plant shipments in a clean and zero-emissions ecosystem.

The refueling stations generating 1200 kg of hydrogen every day along with hydrogen production will go on to support fast-fill, zero-emissions heavy duty zero emission trucks within the region at the HTWO Energy Savannah site.

Going forward, the available infrastructure can as well be scaled in order to support almost 4200 kg of hydrogen every day so as to meet the future demand.

The CEO of HydroFleet, Scott Moe, went on to express his enthusiasm for the project. He said that HTWO Energy Savannah happens to be a groundbreaking step that is sure to revolutionize the heavy-duty trucking as well as hydrogen industry. Through providing a scalable hydrogen production option and refueling solution, HydroFleet and HTWO Logistics are going to be taking care of the crucial requirement when it comes to sustainable logistics infrastructure. The fact is that this project not just supports the vision of Hyundai when it comes to clean logistics, but it also positions the city of Pooleras as one of the local leaders when it comes to the hydrogen economy. As per Scott they are indeed very excited to partner along with Hyundai as well as HTWO Logistics so as to push the shift towards zero-emission transportation, all through the US and in Georgia.

As per the executive director of the South East Hydrogen Energy Alliance, Des Carlisle, HTWO Energy Savannah goes on to represent the kind of forward-thinking infrastructure that the Southeast is ready to have – a site that not just meets the heavy duty zero emission trucks demand that one witnesses today but also constructs the way for a scalable hydrogen economy throughout the region. He added that they are indeed proud to go ahead and support the partnership between HydroFleet, Hyundai, and Capital Partners, and they do see this project as a blueprint of how public-private collaboration speeds up the zero-emission logistics time and also strengthens the resilience in regional energy.
