The National Port Authority – APN which is an entity that is affiliated with the MTC, has gone ahead and granted $540m nod for Peru Hydrogen port project – Horizonte de Verano SAC when it comes to its development in the Arequipa region.
The initial phase of the project is made up of two single-buoy moorings as well as subsea pipelines. It will additionally have a maritime terminal with an ammonia storage system situated on the coast. It will also have thermally insulated tanks in order for storing this compound at cryogenic temperatures. Additionally, it will have a subsea pipeline system so as to supply ammonia to tanker ships as well as a desalination plant.
